Salmon and Tuna Carpaccio
I started off with the Salmon and Tuna Carpaccio appetizer special.
The special part about this appetizer was that the Salmon and Tuna was house cured. The house cured Salmon Carpaccio was delicious, very fresh and it had a light, smokey flavor. The Tuna Carpaccio had a strong fishy, Tuna flavor at first but finished off sweet. Overall it was a good dish but was very heavy for an appetizer.
Those of you who know me know that my favorite food is Spaghetti Bolognese or Spaghetti with meat sauce. I asked the waiter was it good, he just gave me a look and said "Bella its-a good." and he was right.
I mean just look at it you can see the creaminess and the amazing tomato sauce coating every strand of perfectly, al dente, golden spaghetti. I am a Spaghetti Bolognese connosieur and I don't really like to travel much out of my 'hood but this Spaghetti Bologonese is worth the trip! It also landed itself on my top 10 list.
The Vanilla and Chocolate Tartuffo
Tartufo means Truffle in Italian. It is called a Truffle because it was meant to resemble the extremely luxurious French Fungus. This Tartufo was good. It wasn't the best I have ever had but it did not disappoint.
